While the original idea for the Enlightened Grillists slowly starting brewing in 2020 following the insane leftist BLM protests, the concept and the need for a centrist podcast was solidified by the equally insane rightist storming of the Capitol building in January 2021.

On top of all that nonsense, the catastrophe (in many many more ways than one, rest assured) that was COVID-19 just put a cherry 🍒 on top of the whole clusterfuck 💩.

The resolution was clear: The Grillists had to stop their grilling for just a few Fridays to come together and get the American people learned.
